First rescue in Karnataka

On Wednesday, October 8, 2008 the Freedom Firm team organized and led a police raid on a lodge. Five girls were rescued; three of them are minors. These girls are from rural areas outside Belgaum City in Karnataka (western India, near Goa).

One of the girls was discovered while being offered for prostitution for the first time. She was rescued before she could be sexually abused.

This is a milestone for Freedom Firm as it is our first intervention in the State of Karnataka
