Saha, Fauzia and Reshmi were rescued on March 23rd and placed in a shelter home for their protection. You can read their rescue story HERE. Our social worker continues to connect with these girls as she hosts life skills sessions in this shelter home! On April 27th, the residents participated in a session about goal setting. While the girls learned and crafted, they also began laughing together and having heart-to-heart conversations about life.
When she was rescued, Reshmi was struggling with severe alcohol addiction and could barely utter a few words. Living in the shelter home has transformed her life in remarkable ways. She shared that the only love and affection that she ever received in her life was at the shelter home. In early July, we learned that Reshmi got a job as a cook and is earning a salary!
